I gave in this week and ranked Delbarton No. 1 despite the cancellation of its Friday game with PDS. The decision was made easier by St. John Vianney’s 4-4 tie with Middletown South, but I still had to rank the Lancers second ahead of Don Bosco Prep based on more consistent Gordon Conference play. From there, comparative results are relatively simple until you reach the Central Red teams. West Essex’s win over St. Peter’s Prep, Montclair’s losses to Clifton and Bridgewater-Raritan, and Ridge’s tie with Bernards all shook things up.
